A Journey of Performance and Production

Scott Pearson’s lifelong passion for music began not on a stage, but in front of a piano. For 18 years, the rigorous practice of classical piano was a constant, teaching him not just music theory, but a deep sense of discipline and connection to the art form. This foundation was beautifully enriched by his experience in high school theater, where he first stepped into the spotlight and discovered the powerful, collaborative magic of storytelling. Then, in the late 90s, a new creative spark ignited. As digital recording technology became more accessible, Scott began experimenting with music production from his home, blending his classical roots and theatrical passion with the exciting, modern world of audio engineering.

From Performer to Award-Winning Producer

After earning his BFA in Musical Theater from Point Park University, Scott built an impressive career as a performer. For over two decades, he has been a proud member of the Actors’ Equity Association, captivating audiences on stages worldwide and at prestigious regional theaters across the country. This extensive experience gave him a unique, first-hand perspective on the performer’s journey with a deep empathy for the artist’s path. In 2005, Scott brought this diverse experience full circle by founding Pearson Studios, combining his artistry as a performer with his deep passion for music production and cultivating talent in others.

Scott’s wide ranging production work is a testament to his versatility and skill. He has created hundreds of live show soundtracks and original music in a wide array of styles for a client list that includes Paramount Studios, Nickelodeon, PBS, Celebrity Cruise Lines, MSC Cruises, RWS Global and many others. His work has earned industry recognition, including the prestigious Brass Ring Award and Magellan Award. In 2025, he was nominated for another Brass Ring Award for his arranging and production work on “The Six Flags Holiday Spectacular,” a collaboration that placed him alongside entertainment giants like Walt Disney World and Universal Studios.

Nurturing The Next Generation

At Pearson Studios, Scott’s mission is clear and personal: to provide a nurturing space where performers of all ages and experience levels can truly explore, grow, and achieve their artistic goals. His teaching philosophy is a warm and balanced blend of the strong technical foundations from his classical piano training with the vibrant creativity and joy of expression he learned as a performer. This ensures that every student not only develops their skills, but also finds their own unique voice, all in an effort to truly “Empower Your Music”.

Nearly two decades after its founding, Pearson Studios continues to thrive as a welcoming community for artists to learn, collaborate, and discover themselves. Under Scott’s leadership, the studio reflects his lifelong belief that performance is more than a craft—it is a powerful pathway to building confidence, connecting with others, and embarking on a journey of self-discovery.
